Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15-19 May, the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS for the first time on the site and with the support of the PRUE. G.V. Plekhanov, an international student Olympiad in statistics was organized as part of the "I International Student Festival of Statistics" in Moscow (RF). Two teams from Uzbekistan took part in it.

At this festival, teams from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan competed in a three-stage competition.

In addition, the festival provides for the establishment of cooperation with higher educational institutions and research institutes of other countries in the field of statistics.

The main goal of this event was the formation of qualified personnel for the sphere, the further strengthening of the position of statistics and the development of scientific cooperation between foreign students.

Students of the Institute for Training and Statistical Research of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan take part in the student Olympiad as part of the International Festival of Student Statistics.

In particular, our participants won in the nominations "Best Regional Analysis" and "Creativity in Scientific Research".
