A delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs consultations on foreign policy planning of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CIS countries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs consultations on the topic “On foreign policy planning of the ministries of foreign affairs of the CIS member states” were held on 18 December in Minsk. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting participants spoke about the current tasks of foreign policy planning in their countries and the development of doctrinal and conceptual documents in the field of national security and foreign policy. They informed about the foreign policy priorities of the CIS member states. The sides noted the usefulness of sharing experiences on this issue.

Representatives of the Commonwealth countries noted that the formation of a multipolar world order opens up additional opportunities for states and interstate associations for mutually beneficial and equal international cooperation, as well as free and progressive internal development.

The sides emphasized the need to respect the cultural and civilizational diversity of the modern world, maintain a balance of interests of all participants in international relations, and ensure equal and indivisible security in the global and regional aspects.

Following the discussion, the parties expressed interest in continuing working contacts.
