Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the visit of the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov, the Uzbek delegation took part in a business seminar held as part of the Rahala program of the government of the emirate of Dubai.

The event was organized at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is aimed at unlocking the investment and trade potential of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, for the Emirati business community.

More than 80 Emirati companies took part in the seminar, which were informed about the favorable conditions created in Uzbekistan for doing business.

Within the framework of the seminar, the problems of importing products from Uzbekistan to the UAE market through the Iranian seaport of Bandar Abbas were discussed separately, as well as alternative options for the supply of Uzbek products to the markets of the UAE, the Middle East and North Africa were considered.

Emirati companies also expressed interest in localizing the production of their products on the territory of Uzbekistan in order to organize the supply (re-export) of their products to the CIS markets.

In addition, issues of mutual cooperation were discussed with the leadership of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and an agreement was reached on organizing a cooperation exchange (in B2B format) in the UAE in the first half of January 2023 with the participation of Uzbek companies representing such sectors as pharmaceuticals, construction, green energy, textile and food industry, electrical engineering, etc.
