Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 August, an official ceremony of seeing off the delegation of Uzbekistan to the XVI Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo was held in Tashkent.

It was attended by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva, Adviser to the President Abdujabbor Abduvakhitov, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov and other senior officials.

In her speech, the President of the Senate wished the athletes defending the honor of our country great success, wished them to return with high achievements, and stressed that the people and the head of our state believe in the abilities of our Paralympians and always support them.

For information, this year Uzbekistan at a record level became the owner of 55 tickets to the Paralympic Games in 8 sports with the participation of 48 athletes.

The XVI Summer Paralympic Games will be held from 24 August to 5 September.
