Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to further expand trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, the effective implementation of agreements reached at the highest-level negotiations, a delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat association is currently on a working visit to a number of regions of the Russian Federation.

In particular, the deputy chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat association, Mirsaid Zokhidov, held negotiations with representatives of enterprises in the leather and footwear industry and large retail chains in Rostov-on-Don. In particular, at a meeting held in the innovation and technology cluster of light industry of the Rostov region at the Don State Technical University, the issue of launching an educational program to provide qualified designers, technologists and tailors to enterprises in the leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan was discussed.

It should be noted that educational centers specializing in training personnel for the industry are being created in various regions of our country. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to attract a team of teachers to these centers, consisting of designers and technologists who have international certificates from the innovation and technology cluster of the light industry of the Rostov region.

The Association’s delegates also visited large manufacturing enterprises in Rostov. Donobuv, one of the 20 largest companies in Russia, is very interested in cooperation with enterprises in our country. During the negotiations, it was decided to implement cooperation in several stages. Initially, the Russian company plans to purchase special and work shoes in Uzbekistan. Once the samples are tested in the company's laboratories, the procurement process will begin. The next step is the creation of a joint production venture. To this end, the management of the Donobuv company plans to soon visit Tashkent to conduct the next round of negotiations.

Initial agreements have also been reached to establish bilateral relations with the companies Tigran, LeGrow and the Rostov Shoe Factory.
