A delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs takes part in the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, took part in the next meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, which took place on 15 September in the city of Turkestan of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

At the meeting of the Council, which was attended by the heads of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, as well as the Director of the Bureau for Coordination of Combating Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Crimes on the Territory of the CIS Member States, issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the implementation of interstate programs to combat crime adopted within the framework of the Council between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the CIS countries, in the fight against transnational crime, terrorism, drug trafficking and cybercrimes, training and scientific research were discussed.

At the event, which was held in a friendly and constructive manner, a number of documents were signed - the protocol of the next meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, on amendments to the interstate agreement on the search for persons, a comprehensive action plan to strengthen road safety on the territory of the member states CIS for 2024-2028, on issues of combating drug trafficking and cybercrime on the Internet, protecting public order at transport facilities and other documents on topical issues.

The speakers especially noted that meetings in this format serve to strengthen cooperation between departments, and highly appreciated the careful preparation for the event by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which contributed to its successful implementation.
