A delegation of large Egyptian businesses is preparing a visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mansurbek Kilichev met with First Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Egypt Yahya al-Watih Bellah, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the conversation, the main emphasis was placed on organizing a business mission to our country for representatives of large Egyptian businesses.

The business mission is planned to be organized in June 2024. The delegation will include heads of 17 large companies operating in the textile, pharmaceutical, agricultural, mining, chemical, financial, construction, jewelry and other industries. Among them are the chairman of the Egyptian-Uzbek Business Council, founder and director of the Raslan Group holding, major investor Motaz Raslan and chairman of the Egyptian-Uzbek Business Council, head of the committee of the Egyptian House of Representatives (Parliament), manager of fertilizers and chemicals of the Polyserve For Fertilizers and Chemicals" Sharif al-Gabali.

At the meeting, it was noted that searching for partners for Egyptian companies from Uzbekistan and organizing their meetings online before the visit will make the trip more effective. This will provide an opportunity for serious preparation aimed at practical results.

During the negotiations, detailed information was presented about the investment potential of Uzbekistan, the opportunities created for investors, tax and other benefits.

It should be noted that the high-level visit to Cairo in February 2023 brought relations between the two countries to a completely new level and laid the foundation for the development of updated interesting projects and their practical implementation. In particular, following the results of high-level negotiations and a business forum held during the visit, the parties signed agreements worth over US$1.6 billion, investment projects for which are in the process of implementation.
