Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 February, the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2022), one of the largest events in the field of ICT technologies, opened its doors. This year the congress brought together over 1800 companies from more than 183 countries of the world. A diverse program of forums, roundtables, partner conferences, and a showcase of the latest digital innovations in 7 exhibition halls brought together thousands of participants in the Fira Gran Via complex.

In the first pavilion of the exhibition complex, Huawei, as a major IT giant, presents its solutions and technologies to representatives of mobile operators, the public sector and large industries, as well as to end users from around the world. This year, Huawei is focusing on building a simplified, clean, and intelligent infrastructure to support sustainable development.

“As you know, the Mobile World Congress is one of the largest events in the ICT field, and Huawei, being a major telecommunications company, has been participating in the congress for more than 15 years. Over the past two years, all industries have faced the pandemic and its consequences, and now there is a return to normal life. Therefore, today here we present new technologies for various vertical industries in order to quickly increase efficiency and create all conditions for the sustainable development of the world. In addition to continuous investment in research and development, we place great emphasis on corporate social responsibility. And no matter what technologies we introduce - 3G, 4G, 5G, we first of all always care about creating green technologies. All the latest 5G solutions are more efficient and allow us to reduce energy consumption and make the world greener through their application,” said Mr. Chen Jiakai, newly appointed director of Huawei in Uzbekistan.

Given the high interest in accelerating the digital transformation of the Republic, a delegation from Uzbekistan also takes part in the congress. Representatives of mobile operators and ICT regulators, headed by the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, visited the stand of Huawei and got acquainted with the latest innovative solutions of the company.

The guests were shown telecommunications trends to create ubiquitous connectivity by strengthening the existing ICT infrastructure in order to expand digital services for the population and create a green ecosystem.

As part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the Mobile World Congress, a number of negotiations and meetings with the management of Huawei are also planned.
