A conference in honor of Uzbek Language Day was held in Kabul

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A conference in honor of Uzbek Language Day was held in Kabul.

At the event, everyone could get acquainted with national costumes and books in the Uzbek language, as well as taste traditional cuisine. The launch of broadcasting channels Bakhtar, Salam Watandar, Radio Television of Afghanistan in the Uzbek language was also timed to coincide with the holiday, TojoNews reports.

The Ambassador of our country to Afghanistan Yadgarhoja Shadmanov emphasized that Uzbekistan has established connections with students and teachers of the Uzbek language at universities in the provinces of Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Sari-Pul, Kunduz and provides them with all possible assistance in distributing books on the Uzbek language and literature.

Uzbek Language Day in Afghanistan is an official holiday of the country. Uzbeks are the fourth largest ethnic group, numbering more than 2 million people.
