Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Information about the detention of 70 suspects of involvement in the international terrorist group ISIS spread on social networks.

Among those detained was a 39-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan, born in Andijan region.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, after the intervention of lawyers, confirmation of the compatriot’s involvement in the specified terrorist group was not confirmed, and he was released.

Citizens of Uzbekistan were also advised not to join extremist channels and sites on social networks, not to store or distribute extremist materials on mobile devices, and not to respond to religious invitations and dating offers from strangers via email.

The Consulate General noted that every action committed outside the country affects the reputation of Uzbekistan and its people.
