Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Turakurgan district of Namangan region, the driver of a KamAZ truck hit a child to death, the press service of the regional police department reported.

The incident occurred on the internal road of the Urda mahalla.

According to the driver, one of the cars at the intersection signaled to overtake on the left, so he changed lanes to the right to clear the road. At that moment he ran over a boy aged 6 years.

The child died in the district hospital. Doctors diagnosed a closed head injury and a closed skull fracture.
