Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 January, a bust of the great scientist Abu Rayhan Beruni was installed in front of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Washington.

The opening ceremony of the bust was attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States Furkat Sidikov, Chairman of the Institute of Central Asia and the Caucasus at Johns Hopkins University, the author of the book “The Genius of His Time” dedicated to Beruni and Ibn Sino, Frederick Starr, as well as invited guests and compatriots.

The bust was delivered from Tashkent.
