Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 9 to 16 February, a British delegation representing the mining industry visited Uzbekistan.

As Dunyo news agency reports, the delegation included representatives of the UK Ministry of Trade and Industry, as well as leading companies in this field.

During the visit, prospects for cooperation in the mining industry were discussed.

At the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK), a meeting was held with the management of the plant, where issues of cooperation and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and the UK were discussed.

The delegation visited the Kalmokkir mine and the 3rd copper enrichment plant under construction at the AGMK base.

Presentations of geological exploration work and reports on reserves at the Kalmokkir and Yoshlik-1 fields were also held.
