Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Law enforcement officers in Urgench (Khorezm region) conducted raids across several nightclubs, according to the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

The clubs "Bagoti," "Shark," "Asa," and "Komfort Sahara" were inspected, resulting in 24 administrative reports filed against club management and staff. An additional 23 reports were issued for dancers working without the proper licenses.

One particularly concerning incident occurred at Club "Asa," where a 14-year-old girl, a seventh-grade student, was found working as a dancer. An administrative case was initiated against the club’s manager, S.P., who was also given a formal warning and clarification on legal responsibilities.

During the raids, a 14-year-old boy was also found inside one of the nightclubs without adult supervision. He was taken to the Regional Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors.

Additionally, the local AIDS Center collected blood samples from 76 club visitors, and dancers received guidance on appearance and conduct standards. Eight security guards were issued warnings for failing to fulfill their duties properly.

The regional Department of Preschool and School Education commented on the situation, stating that the girl had been a student at School No. 8 in Urgench, but was officially withdrawn in December 2024 at her parents’ request. The family had moved to Saint Petersburg for permanent residence. The girl reportedly returned to Uzbekistan in February, but her re-entry was not officially registered, and she is currently not enrolled in any educational institution in the region.

The girl has been placed in the Center for Social and Legal Assistance, and an investigation is ongoing.
