The volume of paid services rendered to the population of Uzbekistan in January-March 2007 amounted to 564.5 billion soums, the real increase was 25% as compared to the corresponding period of 2006, according to the State Statistics Committee.
The main part of paid services was rendered to the population by the official sector – 68.2%, the volume of services - 385 billion soums, the growth rate – 135.9%.
The volume of services rendered by individual entrepreneurs increased by 6.6% and made up 179.5 billion soums, the share of this sector in the total volume of paid services comprised 31.8%.
The share of the non-state sector in the total volume of paid services rendered to the population reached 72.5% (70.5% in January-March 2006).
The share of personal services in the total volume of paid services was 10.7% or 60.6 billion soums. Their real volume exceeded the level of January-March 2006 by 17.1%.
Services rendered by individual entrepreneurs in the sphere of personal services made up 87.5%. The estimated volume of services rendered by this sector amounted to 53 billion soums, the growth was 20.1%.
