Chairperson of Mehr Nuri Foundation Gulnara Karimova handed over grants to the winners of the programme, which were launched in 2005.

Annyal programme for businesswomen “Grants for developing family business” is directed at assisting women, who wish to show their business qualities for themselves and families. Women, who want to open their own businesses, can participate in the programme.

In 2010, some 410 persons participated in programme “Grants for developing family business” and 20 of them received 30 million soums.

The programme “Grants for development small and medium business, and farming” is directed at supporting projects on farming, poultry, cattle breeding, food production, textile and manufacture. Some 415 people participated in the programme and 30 of them received grants for 30 million soums.

Mehr Nuri said that over 822 people participated in the programme. The commission considered each project and selected 90 and 60 applicants respectively. They were invited to master classes and seminars, during which they presented their business plans.

From 2004 to 2010, over 5,622 people participated in these projects, of which 418 were winners of them. To implement projects of the winners some 490 million soums were allocated.
