Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the special preventive event “Dolzarb 40 kunlik” (Important 40 days), 34 members of a criminal group were detained in Tashkent region.

It is noted that criminal cases were initiated against 11 of them, and 23 citizens were detained administratively.

During the raids, a variety of weapons were seized from the detainees, including 13 pneumatic and hunting weapons, ammunition, stun guns, knives, brass knuckles and bats.

In addition, more than 50 cases related to illicit drug trafficking were identified, resulting in the seizure of 11 kilograms of drugs and 8,703 units of psychotropic and potent drugs.

It is also worth noting that during the operational search activities, 64 persons who were previously wanted for committing crimes and evading the court and investigative authorities were detained.
