Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has announced that the 2027 World Fencing Championship for Adults will be held in Tashkent. This was confirmed by the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from 20 to 28 July 2027.

The decision was made during the latest FIE Congress, which took place in Tashkent.

One of the highlights of the event was the year-end award ceremony, where Fernanda Herrera, a member of Uzbekistan's sabre team, received a special award for finishing the year in first place in the world rankings among youth athletes.
