16 Uzbek Boxers Reach Asian Junior Finals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sixteen Uzbek boxers have advanced to the final stage of the Asian Junior Boxing Championship in Tashkent, following the completion of the semifinal bouts, tournament officials said.

The Uzbek team will be represented in the finals by six girls and ten boys, making it the largest contingent among all participating nations.

Kazakhstan ranks second in terms of finalists with 11 athletes, including five girls and six boys, while India holds third place with nine finalists, including eight girls and one boy.

China has four boxers in the finals, Iran three, and Japan and Tajikistan two each. Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Bahrain, and Jordan are each represented by one finalist.

The championship will continue with final bouts, where medals of the Asian Junior Boxing Championship will be contested.
