Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, addressed the Administrative Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, inviting all participants to the 150th Anniversary Assembly to be held in Tashkent.

In her speech, she highlighted that Uzbekistan is actively implementing democratic reforms aimed at ensuring the dignity of citizens, improving living standards, and strengthening peace, security, and sustainable development.

She also emphasized that in recent years, the role of the country’s parliament has significantly increased, international connections with the parliaments of other countries have strengthened, and the Oliy Majlis’s participation in the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Union has become more active.

A presentation on Uzbekistan’s rich history, cultural heritage, and modern achievements, accompanied by a video, received applause from the attendees.

Council members and international partners expressed their gratitude for the initiative to hold the Assembly in Tashkent and showed interest in the upcoming visit to Uzbekistan.
