Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Beeline Uzbekistan, a part of the VEON international telecommunications holding, became a partner in the professional development program for secondary school computer science and information technology teachers.
The professional development courses for teachers were organized at Beeline Academy, based on the memorandum of cooperation in the field of personnel training between Tashkent International University of Education (TIUE) and the Tashkent City Department of Preschool and School Education.
During the training, 110 teachers of computer science and information technology and professional IT education from various secondary schools of Tashkent acquired Python programming skills, mastered 3D graphics tools and delved into the basics of Frontend development. The courses were given by professional specialists — TIUE teachers. All teachers who successfully completed the program received certificates of completion.
"I teach computer science, math, and physics to students from grades 6 to 11. Computer science is the foundation of knowledge, connecting all sciences. I believe that IT literacy is not just a skill, but a necessity in life. The program at Beeline Academy was rich and interesting; I found especially interesting 3D modeling. I will definitely share the knowledge I gained with my students," said Kasimova Nodira Ergashevna, a teacher at school No. 158 in Mirabad district, Tashkent.
TIUE is one of the private universities in Uzbekistan that trains highly qualified personnel with higher education to meet the needs of the Republic of Uzbekistan's real sector economy in information technology, education, and business management.
"Our university brings together ambitious, talented, and purposeful people," says Nosir Khodzhaev, TIUE's rector. “Our team of experienced professors and lecturers is ready to share their knowledge and skills in preparing specialists for their future careers. The collaboration of TIUE and Beeline Uzbekistan is an important step toward improving the quality of IT education in Uzbekistan.”
Beeline Academy was established in October 2023 in cooperation of Beeline Uzbekistan and Tashkent International University of Education (TIUE). The Academy offers young talents of Uzbekistan, teachers and other IT specialists access to online and offline training in the field of information technology and cybersecurity in order to train personnel for various sectors of the country's economy.
"This is another investment by Beeline Uzbekistan in the country's information technology growth. We hope that the knowledge and skills gained by the teachers who completed the professional development program at Beeline Academy will help in the development of young people and the training of a new generation of highly qualified specialists in demand in the labor market," stated Andrzej Malinowski, CEO of Beeline Uzbekistan.
