100 new buses and minibuses to be brought to Bukhara

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- To date, 265 passenger routes operate in Bukhara region, where 2,188 vehicles are involved. Currently, the level of use of public transport by residents of the region is 19%. 

All necessary measures are being taken to improve the quality of transport services provided to the population, create additional amenities for passengers, and improve the system of urban public transport. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

Particular attention in the region is paid to the issue of organizing comfortable and safe passenger service by business entities engaged in passenger transportation, with the renewal of the current fleet. This year it is planned to bring 100 new buses and minibuses to Bukhara. At the moment, the relevant contracts for the supply of the first 30 units of vehicles have been concluded.

In particular, on the part of Oq yo’l plus LLC, operating in Shofirkan district, 6 Chinese-made King Long minibuses were brought and put on routes. In the near future, it is planned to bring 9 more minibuses of this model. New minibuses have been launched on the Shofirkon-Bukhara route.
