Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uztekstilprom Association organized the participation of domestic manufacturers of textiles and yarns with a stand at the National Exhibition-Sale “Made in Uzbekistan”, which was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on 9-11 March within the framework of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyeva to the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the official opening ceremony, it was noted that during the years of independence Uzbekistan’s light industry not only confidently entered the foreign market, but also took strong positions in it, continuing to actively increase its export potential.
Uzbekistan has unified a national stand, where all directions of textile production have been demonstrated - from development of certified yarn from natural raw materials to the production of finished cotton and silk products.
The stand consisted of a large number of interesting products and information on the latest technologies introduced in the republic. Among them were men’s, women’s and children’s textiles and knitwear, school uniforms, furniture and labels, towels and robes, sewing and textile equipment, sportswear, yarns and fabrics for painting carpets, etc.
The exhibition was attended by such companies as Zelal Textile, Urgench Bahmal, Ideal, Uztex, Marzhan Tex Invest, Porlock Textiles orslari, Nile Granite, Buka, Bofanda , "Ozborn", "Iftikhor kiyim sanoat", "March 8", "Art software", "Bonito", "MiniMax", "Sedat tights", "Azhab label", "Zamon tekhnosi", "Ritter", "Tristar" "(A total of 20 enterprises), as well as the Uzbek-Korean technopark being created in the republic.
During the visit, the consumer market of Tajikistan was studied. The main attention was paid to increasing the trade turnover between the two countries to a qualitatively new level. An agreement was reached to study the possibilities of increasing mutual supplies of textiles, clothing and knitwear products in demand on the markets of the two countries.
Considering the high demand for consumer goods in Tajikistan, agreements have been reached on the supply of knitted fabrics from Uzbekistan. As a result, sewing shops will be opened in Tajikistan, and the creation of new enterprises will lead to the creation of new jobs.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a business forum for business circles of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe, where contracts with domestic textile enterprises were concluded.
In addition, agreements have been signed between Buka Boxing Sportswear LLC and the Boxing Federation of Dushanbe, as well as Avazkhon Kelajak Textile Service LLC and SOHTMON M-21 LLC.
