Uzbekistan to increase payouts on MICL up to 40m soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Governments of Uzbekistan plans to introduce changes to resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures on realization of the law “On mandatory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners (MICL)” from 24 June 2008, which determines procedures and tariffs for this type of insurance.
The document plans to introduce two various letterheads for MICL, which will differ with the colour to determine limit on number of drivers.
It is also planned to create single database of MICL, which will unite all insurance companies. Later, it will also help to introduce online sales of insurance policies.
The document plans to increase payouts size three times – from 12 million soums to 40 soums. This will improve cover expenses of vehicle owners.
The country plans to introduce European protocol procedures, which will help register documents on road accident without calling officers of law enforcement bodies.
