Uzbektelecom increases tariffs for telephony services from 1 February

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom is increasing tariffs for telephony services and international communications starting from 1 February 2018.
According to the operator, the company increases the subscription fee for local telephone communication by an average of 30%.
Tariffs for international telephone calls and international satellite communication networks are increasing by 70%, the operator said.
The company said that despite the price hike, tariffs for fixed-line services in Uzbekistan remain significantly lower than in other CIS countries.
The prices of Uzbektelecom for fixed-line communication services range from US$0.10 to US$0.13. In the CIS countries, the prices of national operators set between US$0.12 to US$ 1.24.
