The expansion of the forage base, creation of complexes for the cultivation of silkworm cocoons in the immediate vicinity of mulberry plantations, import of high-yielding mulberry plants, which yield twice as much harvest, will increase the volume of cocoon harvesting by 35,000 tons. Also, output will be increased, including silk yarn and finished silk products with high added value.
It is planned that the volume of processing of silkworm cocoons will be increased to 50% by 2021 with the creation of new jobs and an increase in the inflow of foreign exchange through the export of products.
