Uzbekistan to create Agency for operational state services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Agency for Operational Public Services will be established in Uzbekistan. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a solemn event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed the creation of an agency of operational state services on the basis of people’s reception rooms.
“Almost every day we appeal to these or those government agencies. Sometimes it takes a whole day to stand in line to get an ordinary certificate in a notary’s office, archive, cadastral department, organization of electricity, gas and water supply or in a mahalla,” the President said.
“People seem to spend a lot of time and nerves on these seemingly simple things. But all such questions can be solved in one place, quickly and centrally!”, he said.
“In all cities and regions of our country, for example, in remote Chimbay or Kurgantepinsky areas, dozens of organizations, which provide public services to the population operate. They are created to serve the people. However, unfortunately, many of them are cut off from the people,” the President said.
"In the XXI century - in the era of the Internet and information and communication technologies, all these documents can be issued without leaving home, using a computer! In developed countries, such a system has been established. Is it possible to introduce it in our country? Of course, yes. But we have become accustomed to treating this problem as unimportant, not worthy of attention. And after all, every question, if it concerns life, human interests, by definition cannot be insignificant,” President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.
“Based on this, we are now organizing work on a completely new basis. Institutions and structures providing public services will serve the population, going directly to places, in the mahalla,” the head of state noted.
"People’s reception offices in the regions, cities and districts will coordinate and supervise this work. In South Korea, there are 750 types of public services. Representatives of the administration of the city of Seoul will come to us and help in organizing such services in Tashkent. I think, having adjusted such a system, we will significantly ease the concerns of people,” the President stated.
Uzbek President, in this connection, instructed the Cabinet of Ministers, together with the sectoral ministries and departments, to develop a draft resolution of the President on this issue within 15 days.
