The Viet Nam-Uzbekistan Friendship Association convened its 3rd congress in Ha Noi on 6 January, discussing ways to strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the two nations, VNA reported.
On 18 December 2007, a founding conference of the China Central Asia Friendship Association (CCAFA) was held at the hall of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi sent a congratulation letter to the conference. Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui gave a speech at the meeting upon invitation and read out Yang’s congratulation letter.
