Multilateral cultural cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will create more opportunities for Kyrgyzstan, said Kyrgyz Prime Minister Igor Chudinov on Tuesday, according to news reaching here from Bishkek.
In spite of its remarkable historical background and numerous historic and cultural sites in the region, Central Asia and western China remain one of the most under-represented regions on the World Heritage List, with no cultural or natural heritage properties from Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan inscribed on the List.
Exhibition of crafts and applied art opened at the Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Exhibition hall. Musical instruments, ceramics, wood carvings, carpet and other items are presented at the exhibition, UzA reported.
Festival of traditional culture “Asrlar sadosi” (“Echo of the centuries”) will be held on 3-4 May in Kitab district of Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan. The event is being organized by the Fund “Forum of culture and art of Uzbekistan”.
