A number of documents were signed on the results of talks between the official delegations of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in Tashkent on 10 March. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan and President Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan signed the joint Uzbek-Turkmen communique and the protocol on exchange of ratifications of the agreement on strengthening friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, signed in Ashgabat on 18 October 2007.
