Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan (CEC) at its session on 15 November 2014 adopted resolutions on registration of candidates to MPs of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis and on order of holding pre-election agitation.
Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan indicated in its pre-election programme that the party will ensure control over activities of the state bodies via MPs. The party’s website includes information on activities of the UzLiDeP faction at the parliament on work of MPs on control over state bodies.
Karakalpak Council of Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan held an educational seminar titled “Ensuring activity of women in elections – priority tasks” to ensure active participation of women in upcoming election and holding efficient pre-election agitation work.
Samarkand regional Council of Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan organized a conference titled “Democratization of the state power and administration” at the Samarkand Agriculture Institute.
Currently Uzbekistan is holding active preparation to elections to Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, regional, district and city Council of People’s Deputies. The political parties are holding various events.
All four registered political parties of Uzbekistan completed nomination of candidates to MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
Tashkent hosted the third congress of Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish”, which was attended by delegates from all regions of Uzbekistan, members of Central Council, MPs, and activists of the party.
Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan held an event titled “My first elections” at Kanlikul pedagogic professional college and Kegeyli professional college of information technologies.
