President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Technological Park of software products and information technologies in Tashkent.
In order to implement the third of the "Five Initiatives" of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which envisages the creation of conditions for the wide and effective use of computer technologies by the population and youth, attracting youth to entrepreneurship in the field of information technology, the Ministry for Development information technologies and communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the creation of conditions for the wide and effective use of computer technologies by the population, and especially by young people.
In 2019, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications opened Digital Technology Training Centers in the city of Nukus, Muynak, Beruniy and Kanlykul, in 2020 - in Ellikkala, Amu Darya districts.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan declared 2020 as the Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy. And this is very symbolic, because for further development it is more relevant than ever to own digital knowledge and modern information technologies.
In particular, as part of the third initiative, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications in Khorezm region opened Digital Technology Training Centers in Khiva in 2019, as well as in Gurlan, Yangibazar and Bagat districts in 2020. These centers provide opportunities for young people to learn modern digital technologies, e-commerce, the basics of programming, robotics, and e-sports.
In accordance with the President’s decree “On measures to further improve the education system in the field of information technology, development and integration of scientific research with the IT industry”, students who are prize-winners of republican subject Olympiads in the field of computer science, programming and information technology, held among students of the relevant areas of education of higher education institutions (HEI), as well as prestigious international Olympiads, will be admitted to study in the relevant areas of the HEI master’s program within the allocated quota without passing exams on the basis of a state grant.
In Russia and the CIS countries, the international competition for social entrepreneurship SAP UP is being held for the sixth time. Applications are accepted from Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Georgia. Prizes include a two-week educational program and cash grants.
The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On approval of the" Digital Uzbekistan - 2030 "strategy and measures for its effective implementation was adopted.
Employees of the territorial inspection "Uzkomnazorat" in Kashkadarya region, during September 2020, took part in the work of the State Commissions for the acceptance into operation of the completed construction of 35 telecommunications facilities of the Uzmobile branch of JSC "Uzbektelecom" in the city of Karshi and nearby areas - Dehkonobad, Chirokchi, Kamashi, Yakkabog, Karshi, Kasbi, Muborak, Mirishkor, Koson, Kitob, Shakhrisabz, as well as one facility of “Coscom” LLC in the city of Karshi. Relevant acts on acceptance of these telecommunication facilities into permanent operation were signed.
