On 22 September, a meeting was held between the Department for Tourism Development of the city of Tashkent, the leadership of the Tashkent College of Tourism and Service and the chairmen and members of the Yunusabad District Council of Ministers.
A theme park "Afsonalar vodiysi" ("Valley of Legends") is being built in Namangan region, which includes the largest 3-storey artisan center, a mosque for 15,000 people, a shopping center, a hotel, villas, modern attractions and fountains. The State Committee for Tourism Development organized an information tour for journalists of various media outlets and bloggers to familiarize themselves with this object in Namangan region.
In order to further develop and increase the efficiency of using the tourist potential of Bostanlyk district, create favorable conditions for the wide attraction of local and foreign tourists to the region, develop modern and high-quality infrastructure from JV LLC "Amirsoy" in December 2019, the first stage of construction of the ski resort complex "Amirsoy" was completed, including the arrangement of cable cars, ski slopes and accommodation facilities.
From now on, citizens of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons using the services of accommodation facilities are taken into account with help of the automated information system "E-Mehmon".
Following the results of a competition for the allocation of a state social order from the Public Fund for Support of Non-Governmental Organizations and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis, the Association of Guides of the Republic of Uzbekistan has launched the project "Increasing the capacity of guides".
As part of the CIS Business Initiatives Week, an online forum on tourism was held, from the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Ulugbek Azamov took part in it.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers from 5 September 2018, the property complex of the Afrosiyob Palace State Unitary Enterprise was planned to be sold to the Singapore company EXIM Investments Pte Ltd with the obligation to pay the existing debts of the enterprise, investing US$12 million and the creation of 100 new jobs.
For the further development of the tourism industry of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as the development of domestic tourism, new guest houses were opened.
On behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov, a working group headed by Deputy Chairman of the Committee Ulugbek Azamov visited cities and regions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to study the tourism potential and opportunities.
