Average monthly salary in Uzbekistan reaches 5.09 million soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The average monthly salary in Uzbekistan has reached 5.09 million soums, according to the State Statistics Agency.

From January to June 2024, the highest average monthly salaries were recorded in Tashkent (8.45 million soums), Navoi region (6.6 million soums), Tashkent region (4.92 million soums), Andijan region (4.44 million soums), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (4.16 million soums).

During this period, the highest growth in average nominal monthly salaries was observed in Tashkent (+20.2%), Samarkand region (+18.2%), Andijan region (+17.6%), Ferghana region (+16.8%), and Navoi region (+16.2%).

The highest average monthly salaries by economic activity were in banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediation activities – 14.43 million soums. 

In the information and communication sectors, the average monthly salary was 12.39 million soums, in transportation and storage – 7.73 million soums, and in industry – 6.22 million soums, all above the national average. In education and healthcare and social services, the average monthly salary was 3.5 million soums and 3.29 million soums, respectively.

In the industry sector, the highest salaries were noted in mining and quarrying (9.09 million soums), electricity and gas supply (7.03 million soums), and manufacturing (5.97 million soums).

By region, the highest average monthly salaries in industrial-economic activities were observed in Navoi region (9.52 million soums), Tashkent (7.15 million soums), Andijan region (6.3 million soums), Tashkent region (6.07 million soums), and Kashkadarya region (5.85 million soums).

In the construction industry, the highest salaries were recorded in Tashkent region (7.57 million soums), Navoi region (7.16 million soums), and Tashkent (6.17 million soums).

In the trade sector, the highest average monthly salaries were noted in wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles and their repair (6.96 million soums), while the lowest were in retail trade, excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles (5.54 million soums).

In trade activities, the highest salaries were observed in Tashkent (6.58 million soums), Jizzakh region (5.9 million soums), and Bukhara region (5.37 million soums). High growth rates were recorded in Ferghana (+127.3%), Jizzakh (+110.4%), Navoi (+48.9%), and Surkhandarya (+29.5%) regions.

In transportation and storage, the highest average monthly salary was in warehousing and support activities for transportation (8.84 million soums), and the lowest in postal and courier services (3.52 million soums).

In transportation and storage economic activities, the highest salaries were in Tashkent (8.9 million soums), Khorezm (8.78 million soums), and Jizzakh (7.33 million soums) regions. High growth rates were recorded in Jizzakh (+54.9%), Samarkand (+51.5%), Syrdarya (+28.4%), and Khorezm (+26.9%) regions.

In the information and communication sector, the highest average monthly salary was in information and communication technology, particularly in computer programming, consultancy, and related services (17.63 million soums), while the lowest was in telecommunications (10.65 million soums).

In information and communication, the highest salaries were noted in Tashkent (13.44 million soums), Samarkand (9.12 million soums), and Kashkadarya (8.7 million soums) regions. High growth rates were seen in Samarkand (+29.2%), Tashkent (+23.0%), Kashkadarya (+18.5%), and Navoi (+17.4%) regions.

In banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediation activities, the highest salaries were in insurance, reinsurance, and pension funds (16.4 million soums), and the lowest in financial services (14.22 million soums).

The highest average monthly salaries in banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediation activities were in Tashkent (17.67 million soums), Andijan (13.31 million soums), and Navoi (12.57 million soums) regions. High growth rates were recorded in Surkhandarya (+33.5%), Kashkadarya (+22.4%), and Khorezm (+19.7%) regions.

In education, the highest average monthly salaries were in higher education (8.14 million soums), and the lowest in preschool education (1.84 million soums).

In healthcare and social services, the highest salaries were in Tashkent (4.13 million soums), Khorezm (3.59 million soums), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.59 million soums). High growth rates were noted in Ferghana (+19.8%), Tashkent (+18.6%), and Namangan (+15.6%) regions.

In accommodation and food services, the highest salaries were in Samarkand (5.24 million soums), Tashkent (5.04 million soums), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (4.14 million soums).

In arts, entertainment, and recreation, the highest salaries were recorded in Tashkent region (5.96 million soums), Tashkent (5.0 million soums), and Kashkadarya region (4.46 million soums). High growth rates were noted in Samarkand (+26.8%) and Ferghana (+26.3%) regions.
