Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to open a trade house in Chechnya by the end of 2024.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirjon Asadov discussed the matter with Rustam Shaptukaev, Deputy Chairman of the Government and Minister of Economic and Territorial Development of Chechnya.

The minister mentioned that the Grozny mayor’s office will soon determine locations for the trade house, followed by a presentation.

The trade house will feature a showroom displaying samples of Uzbek products, primarily textiles. Rustam Shaptukaev noted that the opening of the trade house will foster closer cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan and facilitate the implementation of new joint projects.

“Our relations have deep historical roots. We have always collaborated successfully. The foundation of such interaction is the trustful and friendly relations between the presidents of our countries,” emphasized the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral relations, Uzbekistan’s participation in KIF-2024, and the organization of bilateral meetings and working visits.
