Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan announced the appointment of a new head of the department of transport and development of road infrastructure in Tashkent.

According to the Ministry, Fazliddin Bakhromov has been appointed to the position of head of the Main Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the city.

Previously, Bakhromov served as a specialist in the Office for Achieving Results (Delivery Unit) of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President and headed the department at the Agency for Youth Affairs.

He replaced Anvar Juraev in this position.

In February 2024, it was reported about the arrest of Anvar Juraev, who headed the Tashkent Transport Department and the Toshshahartranshizmat company.

Juraev is suspected of committing serious crimes, including theft on an especially large scale and forgery.
