Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek weightlifters showed a decent result at the World Junior Championships in Peru, winning 12 medals.

Ruslan Rakhmatjonov, who competed in the weight category up to 81 kg, claimed 2 gold and 1 silver medals: he received silver for the snatch (139 kg), and gold for the clean and jerk (172 kg) and the total result (311 kg).

Marjona Abdumutalova, who competed in the weight category up to 59 kg, won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals: bronze for the snatch (82 kg), silver for the clean and jerk (100 kg), and bronze for the total result (182 kg).

Bekzod Gofirjonov, who competed in the weight category up to 89 kg, also received 1 silver and 2 bronze medals: bronze for the snatch (141 kg), silver for the clean and jerk (183 kg), and bronze for the total result (324 kg).

Omadillo Olimov, who competed in the weight category up to 102 kg, won three silver medals for the snatch (150 kg), the clean and jerk (195 kg) and the total result (345 kg).
