Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyar Islamov met with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Irina Podnosova.

The development of mutually beneficial and large-scale cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in various fields, including the judicial and legal area, was noted at the meeting.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, signed in 2018. This document envisages measures to promote judicial and legal reforms through scientific, analytical and information support for improving the judicial system as a key institution in protecting human rights and legitimate interests.

The parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen interaction, implement joint projects and regularly exchange experience. The Russian guests also visited the Museum and the meeting room of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.
