Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The renovation program will cover residential buildings on an area of 500 hectares in Tashkent. This was announced by the acting khokim of the capital Shavkat Umurzakov in an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel.

On 27 February, draft documents aimed at developing industry, services and infrastructure in the city of Tashkent were presented to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It was noted that the new company “Tashkent Investment Company” will participate in renovation projects together with private businesses.

The President provided explanations about the renovation mechanisms, especially those related to two-story temporary buildings that do not meet modern requirements and pose a safety risk.

Well-developed renovation mechanisms stipulate the involvement of private businesses and open up opportunities to solve this problem on an area of approximately 500 hectares.
