Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, it is proposed to introduce liability for publishing on the Internet photos and videos about the work of law enforcement officers with the aim of discrediting and insulting them.

The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis considered the relevant bill at a meeting on 28 November. The draft law was developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The bill proposes to supplement the Code of Administrative Responsibility with a new article 195−2.

The new article proposes a fine of 50 sizes of basic estimated value or arrest of up to 15 days for posting on the Internet photos and videos about the work of law enforcement officers related to the performance of official duties with the aim of discrediting or insulting them.
