LOT Polish Airlines launches flights through Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held today in Tashkent between officials of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and a delegation led by L. Rudera, Director of the Department of Networks and Alliances of the Polish LOT Polish Airlines.

At the meeting, the main attention was paid to attracting LOT Polish Airlines to the market of our country and conducting flights with the participation of the airline to various parts of the world through the cities of Uzbekistan. Leading business entities operating in the field of tourism in our country also took part in the negotiations.

During the meeting, the foreign side was informed about all the privileges and preferences operating in the territory of Uzbekistan.

In particular, it was reported that an “open skies” regime has been introduced at Samarkand International Airport, and now foreign airlines can operate air flights regardless of the presence or absence of an intergovernmental agreement on air traffic.

During the conversation, the problems in the market that Uzbekistan faces in its activities, and future plans, as well as issues of developing interaction with business entities in the field of tourism, were discussed.

In turn, representatives of LOT Polish Airlines also reported that Uzbekistan is one of their priority destinations and in March 2024 it is planned to open direct flights 3 times a week on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route, and on 2- m stage - air communication to Samarkand.

As a result of negotiations between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and LOT Polish Airlines, an agreement was reached on establishing regular information exchange, joint preparation of promotional materials and promotion of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan on the aircraft and web resources of the airline, as well as joint development of promising air transportation.
