Belarusian brokers have been accredited on the Uzbek stock exchange

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 April, a solemn presentation of certificates to brokers and specialists of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) was held at the central office of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UzEX) with the participation of managers, specialists and brokers of the two exchanges. This was reported by the PR department of UzEX.

The certificate award ceremony was held following the results of the second joint training seminar organized as part of the implementation of the Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between UZEX and BUCE.

Ziyoviddin Badriddinov, Chairman of the Board of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange, noted that mutual accreditation of brokers is the next important stage in the implementation of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two exchanges, which will further increase trade between Uzbekistan and Belarus through the use of exchange mechanisms.

Alexander Bashliy, Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of BUCE: “Today’s event can certainly be called historical, since the brokers of our exchanges undergo mutual accreditation for the first time. Belarusian brokerage companies, accredited today on the Uzbek stock exchange, are already ready to start the practical implementation of our agreement and conclude the first deals.”

Presentations of the trading platforms of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange were held at the seminar, during which the opportunities created on the exchange for foreign clients were revealed. At the same time, it was noted that foreign companies are exempt from paying commission fees and depositing collateral when concluding foreign trade transactions on the stock exchange.

The seminar participants got acquainted with the procedures for exchange listing and participation in exchange trading, the specifics of mutual settlements and the terms of delivery of goods purchased at the exchange. The regulatory framework of the exchange, the procedure for processing and supporting exchange transactions through the use of IT solutions are considered separately.

As part of the seminar program, a round table was also held on topical issues of developing cooperation between UZEX and BUCE. The participants of the event received detailed answers to their questions from the specialists of UZEX, and also noted the usefulness and practicality of the information received.

Let us recall that earlier, in February of this year, the first training seminar was held in Minsk, following which UZEX brokers were accredited to BUCE.
