Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rare coins, unique wall paintings of the Karakhanid period and thousand-year-old Damascus swords were found in Akhsikent (Namangan region). This was reported by the press service of the khokimiyat of Namangan region.
It is expected that the National Geographic TV channel will make several films about the finds. Currently, archaeologists are conducting research in the settlement of Akhsikent, located in the Torakorgan region.
A group of specialists are engaged in the restoration of paintings and decorations. Artifacts will be placed in the museum.
