President gets acquainted with a mahalla life

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Sadda-tagi mahalla of Andijan district and got acquainted with the life of residents.

More than 3.6 thousand people live in the mahalla. The families living here use the land efficiently. In recent years, within the framework of the program “Every Family Entrepreneur”, poultry farming, viticulture, and greenhouse farms have been established. There is a sewing enterprise, grocery stores and workshops on the territory of the mahalla.

Last year, a new building of the mahalla center was built, streets were repaired, vineyards were erected.

The ongoing work to ensure employment of the population and the effective organization of youth leisure is felt in the life of this mahalla. This is evidenced by the low unemployment rate, as well as the fact that no crimes were recorded here last year.

The Head of state visited the house of a resident Diyor Mamadaliyev.

As is known, Andijan region has a high population density. Accordingly, the demand for housing is high. In particular, five families live in the Mamadaliyevs’ house. Therefore, the family agreed to participate in an experiment in which prefabricated houses were erected in the yard. Such structures do not require large expenditures, they are warm in winter and cool in summer, moreover, their installation is not difficult.

The President congratulated the household on the new housing, inquired about the design of the buildings and the building materials used.

“Housing is one of the main human needs. Both the state and entrepreneurs are making great efforts in housing construction, which serves the interests of our people. Such affordable housing is also necessary so that people have a wide choice to meet the needs of low-income families”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Instructions were given on the expansion of this project, the localization of building materials used in it.
