Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 October 2022, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov met with a delegation from Huawei Tech Investment Tashkent headed by CEO Chen Jiakai.
Huawei is one of the leading companies in the field of information and communication technology infrastructure and smart devices. The company employs over 200,000 people worldwide, is present in more than 170 countries, ranks 96th in the Fortune Global rankings and 2nd in the ranking of companies with the largest investment in research and development activities. According to statistics, more than half of the employees (54.8%) of the company are involved in research and development activities.
The company has had a representative office in Uzbekistan since 1999 and accounts for about 70% of the market share of distribution and transmission networks.
During the meeting, the foreign side presented new technological solutions that combine economic and sustainable development, energy security, and a green low-carbon policy. In particular, smart terminals at drilling sites based on artificial intelligence, a unified digital platform for oil and gas fields, which allows you to create stations with low atmospheric emissions, as well as technologies for digital production, transportation, processing, and marketing of oil and gas were presented.
The parties discussed the possibility of cooperation in the development of issues of digitalization and automation of the oil and gas industry from production to transmission to the end user, the introduction of a system of electric charging stations for the accumulation of electric vehicles, as well as mechanisms for certification of carbon dioxide emissions.
Agreements were reached on the development of long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, for which a joint working group will be created to implement the above issues.
