“The tourism industry was identified by the President of Uzbekistan as one of the strategic directions of the national economy of the country. Uzbekistan and Japan have great potential in the field of tourism. The countries of Central Asia with a large number of natural and cultural heritage sites undoubtedly have huge tourism potential. With such potential, we will definitely show the best tourist destinations to tourists tired of the pandemic,” said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, who opened the stand of Uzbekistan at the International Exhibition “JATA Tourism Expo Japan 2022” and invited participants of the exhibition and representatives of the Japanese tourism business to actively participate in international events.
