Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 25 August 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia (with residence in Nur-Sultan) to Uzbekistan Dorj Bayarkhuu.
The meeting began with the Ambassador presenting his credentials to Vladimir Norov, who wished him success in his diplomatic mission.
During the conversation, the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Mongolian cooperation were discussed.
The mutual readiness of the parties to intensify a constructive political dialogue was emphasized. Proposals were considered to expand the legal framework for interaction, develop inter-parliamentary diplomacy and hold inter-MFA consultations.
The presence of significant potential for the development of bilateral relations in the areas of trade, investment, agriculture, tourism and cultural and humanitarian cooperation was noted.
The prospects for further cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the participation of the Mongolian delegation in the work of the meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the SCO Member States, which will be held on 15-16 September 2022 in Samarkand, were considered.
