Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 January, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the creative work being carried out in the city of Tashkent.
In Yunusabad district, at the intersection of Shakhrisabz and Amir Temur avenues, the construction of the Tashkent Central Park multifunctional complex continues. This investment project is being implemented in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 5 December 2018.
The complex consists of three 15-storey buildings. It will house a five-star hotel, offices, a conference hall, shops and restaurants. A landscape park and a two-story underground parking will be organized nearby.
Construction of building frames completed. The complex is planned to be commissioned in 2023.
The head of state instructed to speed up construction work and expand the range of services.
The President also visited the Tashkent City Mall shopping center under construction along Almazar Street. The complex consists of a 29-storey hotel, a 30-storey business center, a 4-storey shopping and entertainment center. Their construction is in full swing and is expected to be completed by 2023.
A short conversation was held with the initiators and investors of the project. It was noted that the complex will become one of the largest shopping centers in the region, will create 10,000 new jobs here and in related areas, and the opportunities created will give a powerful impetus to the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the situational center established in the Tashkent Khokimiyat.
The facility is designed to provide modern services to the population. The four-story building was built at the expense of the local budget in the amount of 110 billion soums, equipped with 60 servers, a widescreen video wall and computers.
The center is integrated with billing systems and portals of more than 60 departments in the fields of electric power, gas, water and heat supply, road and transport infrastructure and public security. Thanks to this, it is possible to track the corresponding situation in all quarters and streets of the city using geopositioning. Specialists assigned to the districts will monitor the situation in real time and promptly take response measures if necessary.
The Situation Center will also deal with strategic tasks such as analysis and planning of urban infrastructure. Plans will be developed for the location of hospitals, schools or kindergartens, the repair and construction of roads and engineering networks. About 100 qualified specialists work in the center.
The President instructed to disseminate this experience in other regions.
A meeting was also held here on the organization of a system of work in the context of mahallas in Tashkent.
In our country, a course has been taken to bring reforms to each mahalla. Thus, in Tashkent, a territorial department of the Agency for the work of mahallabay was organized, assistants to khokims and youth leaders began their activities in 579 mahallas.
- Representatives of these two systems, that is, assistants to khokims and governors and youth leaders, will be reformers in the mahalla. We place great hopes on you in improving the life of the population, developing entrepreneurship, training and employment of young people, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Responsible persons were instructed to develop an economic justification for each mahalla, providing for the directions for development and vocational training of the unemployed.
It was determined that this year 500 billion soums will be allocated from the budget to improve the infrastructure of Tashkent mahallas. The state will also provide 476 billion soums of loans and subsidies for business development in mahallas. These funds will be directed to solving the most pressing social and communal issues, as well as to projects of entrepreneurs on the recommendation of khokims' assistants.
Khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent was instructed to develop projects for 271 mahallas in which investment projects are not planned, and to attract investments in them. It was noted that due to the launch of new industrial projects, it is possible to double the capital's exports.
In a conversation with the chairmen of mahallas, assistant khokims and youth leaders, the head of state stressed that their main task is to increase work efficiency, study the situation in each family and provide comprehensive assistance to people included in the "iron", "women's" and "youth notebooks" in a word, in ensuring the interests of man.
It was noted that youth leaders should constantly look for new opportunities and work on themselves, regularly submit new proposals to khokims of districts.
The projects of social facilities that are planned to be built in mahallas were also considered.
There was a presentation on the work done by the joint-stock company "Khududgaztaminot", the results of the introduction of an automated system for accounting and control of natural gas consumption.
