Uzbekistan plans to attract US$200m to textile industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan plans to attract investments for US$200 million to textile industry in next two years, chairman of Uzbekengilsanot (Uzbek Light Industry) Ilkhom Haydarov said at the opening of CAITME and Textile Expo Uzbekistan exhibitions.
CAITME 2009, specialized Central Asian textile equipment exhibition, Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2009, specialized Central Asian textile and fashion, opened in Tashkent on 15 September 2009.
Over 176 companies are participating Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2009 and CAITME, which are organized by ITE Uzbekistan. Among participants are companies from Austria, Belgium, China, India, Italy, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Russia, etc.
India, China and South Korea are presenting their national exhibition and their total share makes up 21%. National exposition of India includes 15 companies, China - 12 and South Korea - 12.
Turkey covers 18% of exposition. About 30 companies are attending the event. The share of CIS is 15%.
