Uzbek officials, Singaporean firm discusses cooperation in textile sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Property Committee of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the first deputy chairman of the committee Aziz Abdukhakomov and head of INDORAMA GROUP (Singapore) Prakesh Kejrival on 7 September.
The main aim of the meeting was to discuss opportunities of investment of INDORAMA GROUP to textile industry of Uzbekistan, the State Property Committee said on 10 September 2009.
INDORAMA GROUP Prakesh Kejrival said his two-week visit to Uzbekistan is aimed at acquainting with concrete objects and existing opportunities for investment into economy of Uzbekistan, in particular textile industry.
State Property Committee of Uzbekistan offered several production capacities, located in Tashkent city and other regions of the country, where Singaporean firm can create textile enterprises.
INDORAMA GROUP representatives also received information on legislative and investment climate in Uzbekistan.
The sides agreed that INDORAMA GROUP will submit its concrete proposals to the Uzbek committee after studying offered objects.
